Das schlichte und dennoch robuste Design des Gyro® ist mit einem patentierten Dual-Cable Detangler-System ausgestattet, das ein Verheddern der Bremszüge beim Lenken verhindert. Dieses System ist seit seiner Einführung Standard. Odyssey entwickelt den Gyro® seit 1986 und verbessert ihn seitdem kontinuierlich.
